About Typhoon Asian Bistro

Let me introduce you to Typhoon Asian Bistro, a lively sushi-forward spot sitting right in the heart of the city at 725 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116, and honestly, it’s one of those places that feels easy to recommend the moment you walk in. Typhoon Asian Bistro blends the laid-back comfort of a neighborhood favorite with the polished energy of a modern sushi restaurant, making it just as fitting for a casual lunch as it is for a relaxed night out. The menu leans heavily into fresh sushi, small plates, and comfort food with an Asian-inspired twist, while still leaving plenty of room for healthier choices like salads, organic dishes, and vegan or vegetarian options that don’t feel like an afterthought. What really stands out is how flexible the experience is-you can grab a seat inside, enjoy outdoor seating when the weather cooperates, or keep things simple with takeaway, delivery, kerbside pickup, or even no-contact delivery if you’re staying in. Drinks are clearly part of the personality here too, with cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits flowing easily alongside happy-hour food and drinks that draw in a crowd without feeling overwhelming. I also appreciate how Typhoon Asian Bistro works for different moods, whether you’re stopping by late for a quick bite, meeting friends for small plates and cocktails, or easing into the day with coffee and something light. The atmosphere stays relaxed and social, yet the food feels thoughtfully prepared and consistently satisfying, which makes it a solid choice for both first-time visitors and regulars. If you’re looking for a sushi restaurant in Boston that balances flavor, variety, and convenience without trying too hard, Typhoon Asian Bistro naturally fits into that space.

Amazing food and drinks calamari was the best i ever had. Baby back ribs were so tender and came out flaming as well. Cozy atmosphere but the sad part is they were completely empty..

This place is such a vibe. The food, service and atmosphere is Top of the Line. Definitely a hidden Gem in Back Bay. I honestly can’t believe I hadn’t been here before tonight. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in a while. The lady serving was such a sweetheart and when above and beyond. She had a genuine smile the whole time and for me that goes a long way.

Nice resturant with variety of hot foods, soups, drinks and of course, sushi. Sushi, soups and the hot dish are all pretty good, but the salad was excellent. Emperor roll was decent but some slices were sliced too thin. Sweet Dynamite was great though. The Nigiri/Sashimi chefs platter was a little disappointing though, $39 for 8 nigiri, but the fish quality was solid. Sake was great - can't go wrong. And the cocktail- summer breeze - was nice, the vermouth wasn't overwhelming but still able to be tasted.

Really delicious!! My partner and I got the calamari as an appetizer as well as the pork belly ramen and shrimp ramen respectively. Server was attentive and pleasant. This was our second time dining here and both times were really good. Would totally recommend!

Went down to BB for a concert and found this place after the show. The staff was super friendly, so many drinks on the menu looked delicious but I went with the pineapple royale since it's not average Boston fare and it was fantastic. Again, so many food items I wanted to try, but I ordered the twin dragons and it was so flavorful, fresh and well made, not to mention the best sushi I've had, anywhere. Can't wait to go back. Absolutely recommend this place!

AMAZING! This was easily the best meal I had in Boston. I loved everything about it. We ordered the Back Bay sushi roll and I got the miso ramen with braised pork belly, both were some of the best I’ve ever had. The Scorpion Fire Bowl is a must-try, but be warned, it is very strong! I loved this place and will definitely come back anytime I’m in Boston.

Food was amazing and our server was so nice and attentive. They had an amazing deal if you got two sushi rolls you get the appetizer for free which was nice. Our food was hot and very fresh. Will definitely come back soon, if I’m in the area
